Schlosser, Eric. Fast Food Nation. England: Penguin Group, 2007. 1-88. Print.
Eric Schlosser in Fast Food Nation talks about history of McDonald's. He argues that food is one of the most important aspects to understand people's culture. There is lot information about partnership between Disney and McDonalds. First 3chapters shows how world has been franchised, shows what's hidden behind the funny and pretty face of fast food and how McDonald's made itself so efficient ,successful.
This source is helpful for me because there is lot information and points of view about McDonald's that is not on McDonald's webpage.

Main website of McDonald , to my surprise is not easy to read, colorful. However as I expected it talks only about the advantages, how good the food is, how they help environment, children in need and how it is easy to become an employee.
I think this is very useful source because it shows how Mc Donald's want to be seen in a public eye. There is a lot of information about history and food itself but also lot of stuff like "Amazing stories” or "McDonalds does good".

SuperSize Me. Dir. Morgan Spurlock. Perf. Morgan Spurlock. Samuel Goldwyn Films Roadside Attractions, 2004. DVD
This documentary disguises mainly one question: Why Americans are so fat. Writer, producer, director and main actor , Morgan Spurlock wants to prove that the reason is Fast Food. He decided to do that by eating only McDonald's food , 3times a day for a month. He had to eat everything from the menu at least once and agree to supersize it if they asked him. Morgan was regularly checking all the changes in his health and body through this project and unfortunately it turned out that the consequences were terrifying.
I think this documentary is a great source for my research because it perfectly shows the 'dark side' of McDonalds, the backstage of the all happy commercials and smiles on supplier’s faces. In this source I can perfectly find what other people think about this corporation and what they don't want people to see.

Haddow, Douglas. "Late Capitalism." big ideas of 2010December 2009: Print.
"The big ideas of 2010". This journal is very interesting for me because there is a lot articles connected with advertisements. How the world changed and how we can't live without media's anymore.
The article I choose from this journal was about McDonalds, obviously. It disguises how this company is ready to stock everyone who dares to use the prefix "Mc". Unexpectedly, after eight years in court, ‘McCurry’ won the case and got back all money they lost. Since that the small restaurant on the outskirts of Kuala Lumpur exploded with customers from around the world.
This journal article is very useful for me. There isn't only one situation presented but it shows how McDonalds is ready to do everything to stay "unique" - if something like that is possible. They were ready to spend thousands of thousands in court just to not let some small restaurant grow. How scary is that? How unfair that would be if they would win? Maybe in some time people with names beginning with "Mc" will be in threat?

"McDonald's Commercial 1967."http://www.youtube.com. Web. 6 Dec 2007. <http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RFEkfipbI3Q&feature=related>.
"McDonald's is our kind of place, it's such a happy place, McDonald's is our kind of place". Catchy melody, moving, convincing lyrics – isn’t it an easy way to win hearts, souls and stomachs of millions of kids? One minute video - how much information? It's clean, happy, what we can get there good food, quality, extra care service. One minute of video and we really believe that we should take our kids there before they know each other because why wouldn't we? It's our place!
This video is flawless for my research because it perfectly shows how this company has always wanted to be seen. This video almost forces us to see it again and convince ourselves how McDonald's is the happiest place we can go.

"Old McDonalds Advert." www.youtube.com. Web. 7 Dec 2009. <http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jwb9W51j7fo>.
In this video we see Ronald McDonald giving free hamburger to a young boy who eats it. But then he is trying to be obedient to his mother and not talk to strangers however when Ronald gives the boy next free burgers he suddenly starts to believe in his truthfulness. He forgets about mom advice to not excepting gifts from strangers and walk away with him to McDonalds.
This video presents the way of McDonald's want to be seen. Ronald McDonalds is presented as a good hero that gives free McDonalds food then kids take it and everybody are happy. However when I finished watching it and thought about it I started to be more and more terrified. I realized that if I were younger I would believe that it isn't wrong to take presents from strangers and go with them to the place they say they want to take us. How many kids are too blind and unconscious to see that it doesn't have to be Ronald McDonald but maybe a kidnapper? I hope the intensions of this advertisement were just to make the company look friendly but it ended up with a terrifying message.

Love, John F. McDonald's behind the arches. United States of America: Bantam Books, 1995. Print.
McDonald's Behind the arches is a book showing aspects of this company that most of the people don't know about. Surprisingly it shows many about advantages. It argues that before McDonalds, hamburger meat was notorious for having the absolute worst quality in the industry, full of such appetizing parts as cow cheeks and tripe, and filled-out with decidedly un-meaty ingredients like water and soy. McDonalds cared about high quality of food and family atmosphere so that everybody would be happy.
This book is useful for me but since it is so long I can't read and use all the information from it. Despite that fact I researched about this book and found out some facts. This source is really important for me because it's all about McDonald's but shown from another side.

Alfred D. CHandler, JR, Bruce Mazlish. Leviathans, Multinational Corporations and the new global history. United States of America: Cambridge university press, 2005. Print.
I find this source helpful but not as much as others. It gives me some information about the company but this book is written more generally and it doesn't contain as much useful information. However I find it useful because it has number of facts from McDonald's history.
