The first and the last letter From Clarrise to Montag
I am writing to you because I feel lonelier than I ever felt before. Usually I was watching nature, how flowers grow how they smell, I usually observed people and analysed their behavior but now I don’t know why I feel there will not be many occasions to tell you about me. That’s why I want to show you other aspects of my life.
Our last few meetings were really great.I don’t remember many people which wanted to spend time with me besides my family. You know I don’t have friends because nobody wants to understand me. But you, you are different. When I first saw you I was afraid of you. Picture of a fireman in my mind was really scary but you changed it. You seem like you want to know me, know why I’m different, why I don’t want to be like everybody.
In my family, we talk very often. I remember your face when you saw my house and all those people sitting-talking and living! I think you and your wife don’t do it. She is just watching TV all day and parlour is her ‘family’ right? Oh, poor Montag I really have to tell you so many things. I am hiding really important information from you. I… I… I have read many books Montag and I can help you. I want to talk with you about them. My uncle’s grandfather used to have many books in his house but I think you know what happened to them. For most of my life I thought that there are no books left in my family but I was wrong. Few years ago I wanted to hide under my uncle’s bad – you know – just for fun. In that moment I felt something hard. I took it and went to my room. It was a book. At the same time I was curious and scared but I have read it. I also read all of the others I found under the bed. It is really irresponsible that I’m telling you this through the letter but I just have to. I feel that someone is trying to kill me . Maybe because I’m different maybe because they are afraid I will ruin their 'perfect' and 'happy' system. I want you to feel Montag! I want you to live! Don’t be afraid of listening to your heart. It will always tell you the truth.
I hope we will meet again before I will ‘leave with family’ or die in an ‘accident’. Never doubt in your new way of thinking It is good. I believe in you Montag – you can bring back the world of feelings and thinking.
Look forward to see you soon

"Some have suggested that technology can save us….."
In a world where everything is quickly packaged and pre-packaged by the media, how can teens rebel?
1.a person who refuses allegiance to, resists, or rises in arms against the government or ruler of his or her country.
2.a person who resists any authority, control, or tradition.
For me rebel means doing something againsts rules. In my age it means mainly against parents or rules in school. Usually coming back home later than I should or not doing my homework. Some people rebel by looking different. They are trying to stand out and be seen by society.
So can we really rebel? Even when I'll start wearing totally another clothes than I used to and start looking different - how can I know if it isn't already in some magazine recognised as a new trend? Or what is worse it have already been a trend and now it's out of date? In this times everything we do is not original. It’s hard to find something that someone didn't already do. But coming back to main question - How can teens rebel? I think that even if our way of rebel is not original it can still be rebel if we break our rules.
What is cool?
And what is cool?
"Fashion, music, way you look, when you are different or when you follow the trends"
And why this is cool?
"Ehm….. Whyy???? I don't know… why you are asking?"
So I think saying what is cool is not so hard. We just don’t know why is it cool.
'Cool' is changing really often. Everytime when something stars to be cool , everyone starts to follow it . Than this thing is no longer cool so something else is now cool and so on. Finding it is not an easy challenge. Every firm which sell things to teens , keep looking for meaning of this word. 'Cool 'will always change. No matter what we can’t stop it. As long as time goes cool will be changing.

Summary of introduction
The multi-million dollar fast food industry didn't change only because what people eat but also because of franchising .Cities started to look the same. McDonald's "M" became a symbol of United States almost like the red Cross for the Christianity.
The motivation for such a rapid growth is the fact that fast food industry was born in a critical moment for American economy, which made it necessary for women to start working. This meant less people cooking at home and a higher need of restaurants, which was a perfect ground for the growth of fast food industry.
What was new in this kind of franchising was the focus on efficiency- making more things in less time and money- which meant using new technologies about food engineering and employ less qualified people who needed low wages.
That's what's hidden behind the funny and pretty face of fast foods.

According to the introduction, what will this book be about?
Fast Food Nation – you can read only the title and you know it’s going to be about fast food. The first thoughts after you read it are Mc Donald, unhealthy, tasty food. I’ve read the introduction of this book and I already know that it will be really authentic. I think I will know many new informations about what the food contains, how it was made, where the food came fromand so on. I knew that it’s not healthy but I always tried not to think about it. Just – you know – grab it and eat it. It’s soooooooooo tasty, and it’s not fair because healthy food is unfortunately often distasteful. With reference to my last post a have to say that I’m happy I don’t eat Mc Donald often. Maybe once a month or more rarely.
I think this book will open my mind and help me realize how fast food is bad for me and whole world. In my opinion it’s so sad that 96 percent of schoolchildren could identify Ronald McDonalds. And the only fictional character with a higher degree of recognition was Santa Claus! Only from the introduction I already know many facts about fast food nation.
For example
-‘Americans now spend more money on fast food than on higher education . personal computers , computer software, or new cars’
-‘On any given day in United States about one-quarter of the adult population visits a fast food restaurant. ‘ ( I’m so proud of them because I can’t imagine eating for example McDonald every day!)
-‘Mc Donald’s Corporation is the largest purchaser of beef, pork, and potatoes – and the second largest purchaser of chicken’ (It actually shocked me. And I started thinking if not McDonald is the largest purchaser of chicken than who is? KFC! But in fact it’s pretty obvious because in KFC you can mainly it chicken.
-‘McDonald’s spends more money on advertising and marketing than any other brad. As a result it has replaced Coca-Cola as the world’s most famous brad’
-‘The restaurant industry is now America’s largest private employer, and it pays some of the lowest wages. […] The only Americans who consistently earn a lower hourly wage are migrant farm workers’ (This is so interesting and also sad . Can you imagine? The lowest wage? It is so unbelievable.)
-‘ One out of every eight workers in the US has, at some point worked at a McDonald's restaurant. ‘
(Why do they work there if they receive the lowest wage ? It’s funny.)
In conclusion I just want to say that I think this book will be really interesting on many ways. I will know many knew information and I am sure it will be really amazing.

What I Eat
I usually eat many times a day. I’m eating often but not too much. In my home everyone is shopping and prepearing. Unfortunately usually my mum and I are preparing whole meal. But on Sundays my dad always makes breakfast. So what do I eat? I eat everything what is on dinner or in the fridge. The only thing I can’t stand is mayonnaise and mustard. It’s owlful. I’m trying not to eat fast food but it’s so INEQUITABLy good. I’m telling my self it’s not healty and really fatty. So I’m really trying to avoid it.
